We were challenged to design an app to solve for a social cause, we developed an app focusing on finance—Millennials and Gen Zers never really learned how to budget, and with the rising costs of living, this is becoming a larger problem for the whole of society.

Our app acts as a virtual advisor who assists the user in making the best financial decisions possible given their financial state. Our greatest challenge was figuring out how to simplify the complexities of finances so that an individual with no finance background feels confident and in complete control.

  • We believe that millennials are having difficulty preparing for their future, staying up to date with their finances, and keeping up with their spending/budgeting habits because there is no easy-to-use tool on the market that helps the user build a financial plan.

  • Squirrl may solve this problem by offering an AI financial advisor personalized for each individual user to accomplish specific goals.


    We will know we have succeeded when there is an increase in user downloads, time spent on the app and high user retention rates.
